G Project Automotive is the concept work, cultural writing, and design thinking of Chiayi Liao — a New York City designer and CCS alumnus exploring automotive identity through JDM icons, EUDM exotics, and the visual language of collector culture.
A CCS (College for Creative Studies) education in automotive design, combined with 8+ years of spatial design practice in New York City, has produced a perspective that reads cars the way an architect reads buildings — through proportion, surface logic, material honesty, and cultural intent.
The automotive work here is not a side project. It is a parallel discipline that has been running since before the first interior commission — visible through 819 posts, 9,363 followers, and a growing library of JDM and EUDM concept explorations on Instagram.
The perspective is a designer's, not a reviewer's. The subject is form, culture, and what a car means to the people who love it.
The same designer. Two distinct disciplines. The cross-pollination between them is not incidental — it is the point.
Concept work, design essays, and original automotive thinking. This is the experimental side — where ideas are explored without client constraints.
